Iglesia de Santa María

This late Gothic-style building dates back to the 16th century and is one of the most remarkable in the province of Vizcaya. It is located in the neighborhood of La Campa and it is said that it was the origin of the town, since apparently the church of Santa María was the social center of the town at that time.

It has three naves and a tower that resembles a fortress.

Torre Martiartu

Located in the neighborhood of La Campa, this defensive and residential building dates back to the 16th century and is located next to the Church of Santa María.

In 1472 the Renaissance-style tower was destroyed and spent several years abandoned until, in 1488, Diego Pérez de Martiartu called for its reconstruction, providing it with thicker walls. Its last restoration took place in 1954, when it was already owned by the Erandio City Council.
